Mmmm, brownie!

Iherb knows mah date! And it's tomorrah! :U

Fargerik mat!

No hint intented!

Nammm. :)

i heart i herb!

Jeg, og mange andre. :)

Hørt den er bra and I really do need a detox. True story.

Morning Glory!

Pliiis, kan noen kalle meg en helsefreak? Har alltid ønsket det. :) Jeg - helsekostopptatt lissom? HAHA.

Have a lovelyjobely friday og hvis du har laget deg Pinterestkonto i det siste - don't hesitate to follow me, sånn at jeg kan followe deg to back.

Peace out!

Muffin on: What To Eat For Lunch

I am soooo so sick of eating Wasa Cracker Bread (?) for lunch. Every. Single. Day. What do people eat for lunch, I thought - what can I make to increase the level of satisfaction during my lunches? Lunch is everyone's favorite part of the day, right? But this boring food! I couldn't stand it any longer.

So I started paying attention to other peoples eating habits, and lucky me - I got two very helpful and healthy sisters who make interesting lunches. I will fill you in on both, but here goes number one.

My hardworking sister Tone probably felt like I do, and instead of sobbing about it, she made The Tuna (almost her name) Cottage Nut Mix. And then she sent me the recipe and saved my week.
The text next to the tuna says: "they're not really whole like this" (I found it hard to draw tuna meat).
Soooo ... you might say like I did: "Tunaaa?? that's cat food!" And yes, it is. But also human food and mixed with this stuff it's actually really good. I've always hated tunafish, everytime I smelled it I could see our Cat (may she rest in peace) chew away on a chunk and it just made me sick to my stomach to even think of eating it myself. Ever seen how a cat eats? Yes, exactly. But let me tell you - I liked this. It's the first time I've willingly eaten cat food (tuna), and then had some more.

To spice this up a little you might add stuff you like, like onion, tomato, ... etc. No limits!

Enjoy! :)
Oh, and if you've got some really good lunches to recommend - I'm more than welcomming it. Leave a comment here or send me and email to themuffinblog @ gmail.com. I might even illustrate it. :D

Another Bea-utiful Monday

The secret of the biscuit part? You wanna know?
It's easy, but not something everyone can do.

First put your muffin mixture in your muffin cups and insert into preheated oven.
Then leave for a while.
And then leave longer.
And finally leave too long.

There you go, - biscuit muffins. :)

Although - getting through that crunchy outside was totally worth in. Inside was soft and yummy (at least when eaten right after I took them out of the oven (benefit of being the muffin maker)).

Julie&Julia - thank you.

It's been a while since I went to the movies and came out happier.
Yesterday, that happened.

:)

Drawn and colored in Photoshop.

Go see it if you like food, blogging, Meryl Streep, tiny appartments, small kitchens, french talking and a shreeking voice. ;)
I loved it all!

The Food Day

You hear of Recipie Monday, Tartar Tuesday, Truffle Thursdays, Feeding Fridays and all kinds of other Food-loving-blogging-days all around.
People blog about food, and they do it good.

Check for instance PioneerWoman.
or RookieCookie.
or Sweet Paul.
or just put them all together and dive hungry in to Tasty Kitchen.

Whatever you prefer.

Anyways. I like to make food, but I rarely do so.
This is not because I'm lazy, no no. It is because I live with four wonderful girls, and they make good food. :) And I work late. Too late.

Sooo ... sometimes I do make food. And when I do, I apperantly have a need to show it off to the world. So here I am - Food Blogging.

I have done it before, and I might to it again, so therefor, with no pressure, I just call it The Food Day. Whatever day of the week that might be.

So.
I spent the previous weekend and IA's house. It was one of the better weekends. :)
She made us Parmesan Chicken.

And so I made Parmesan Chicken with Tomatas è Spring Onienz especialés.

You start off with the Tomatas. They're like tomatoes.
Chop them in pieces, whatever piece size works for you.
I do them in fours or sixes.

You boil the rice in a rice boiler. It's so simple it almost makes me cry.
I looove the rice boiler.

Chop the spring onienz!

The chicken, you know what the chicken looks like. Not necessarily nice in pictures. This is what you do:
- Put marinated chicken in
- Put food cream in, covering it
- Put tomatas and spring onion in.

Get ready to be parmesanized. And that smell is a good smell.

Shrip - shrip - shrip! All the way in. Dont smell your fingers.

Par me shaaan. Why have I never used you in food before? (I honestly havent)

Parmesan Tower.

Spread it all on top. Aaall of it.

Let it cook for a while. It gets sooo well cooked by the cream. Oh yum. :)

Ok. So it looked better while making it than in the end. But it did taste good. :)

Apple Muffin Sugar Sticky

You didn't see this one coming, did you!
A food post.
Well, I'm not one to ask twice about making muffins, and when I suggested it to myself yesterday you can guess the answer.

The thing was - I went outside in our very tiny half circled back yard and guess what I saw. We have appletrees. We do! :D And they had apples on and they were big and nice and red and green and I picked some.

Inside again, I thought about how to use these for some good. Hum hum. "What about Muffins?" I thought. Don't know why that came to my mind first. So, without further questions I decided on the muffins.

I pealed the apples.

I chopped them.

I put cinnamon, brown sugar and white sugar in a bowl and tossed it around.

I put it in a purple nicer shaped bowl, just so it would look better in the pictures.

I put the ingrediense for the muffins in a bowl.

--- OK OK. It's from a 1-2-3-muffins pack. :/ I didn't even make it from scratch. Oh well - I'm not a house wife, give me some rest. ;P ---

I poured water and butter into the mixture.

Spin, spin, spin!
Watch your clothes, you get stains. This is why you use an apron. .... Which I didn't. And I do have an apron WITH muffins on, from Anthropologie. It's so cute. :)
I'll wear it next time. :P

I made sure of no clods in the mixture. I hate clods (klumper).

Butter your muffin tin with a neat silicon buttery thing.

I put bits of the sugar sticky apples in the tin, and poured in mixture on top. Fill about half way up, ... and then a little more.

Be patient.

If you rush it, this is what you get:

Yes, Naan-Pizza. You don't want that when you expect muffins.

Although - they were good. :)

Almost there! Oh, that smell!

Let them rest for about a second or two.

Put cheese frosting on top and take a bite before you even manage to take a picture. :P
Oh yum.

Don't eat me!
(Do you see the sad Muffin-man in there? ;P)

---

I forgot to put this in, but as some of you may have noticed,
a certian Pioneer Woman has been the inspiration for this post.
Yup - gotta love her. :)

Go see her amazing website here.
And make sure you have an hour or five to spare.
