Small edit: I took away the shadow and removed the outline on the teeth.

Morning boat

I did this after a photo my friend Torstein took. I used aquarell, which I havent tried so many times. It's hard, I'm not really pleased with it, I think I'm gonna try acrylics instead. But, I wanted to put it here anyway. An update is an update, and I'm trying to make them more often. :)

Morning illustrator

I came early to work this morning so I desided to make something arty. After making the scene stuff in illustrator I gotta say I love this program. Ah. And you wont believe - I actually claimed it was a stupid program only 3 weeks ago. I said the idea with not using outlines was stupid. :P Just ask Torstein.
I take it all back now. I love the idea and I think it is brilliant. And by this I also promise that in the future I will never assume something is crap or stupid just because I cant figure it out myself. :P
So, back to my point: I took this sketch into illustrator this morning.


And this came out. I know it's pretty light in colors, but I like it this way. I even tried reflecting it! You gotta click it to see it properly, but you probably figured that out yourself.

Illustration Friday - Smitten

Yeah, what the hey? What's smitten. Sounds like infection and rimes with kitten.
I looked it up, it means something something smitten by love, by words. And so on.

This woman is not exactly smitten by his song.

And finally, the tree hut. (: This job has been SO much fun! I've been working late hours and enjoying it SO much. :) I just love illustrator, I think I've found a new love.

Kids play backgrounds

I've been making some backgrounds for a local kids group play. They will be shown on screen using projector. I made them in illustrator using pen tool only. These are the two first. Click it for a clearer view. (:

Ante & Faffel

It's been a while. This week has been crazy. I've been in Norway and said hi to my family. :)
I havent drawn anything in what feels like weeks! I did paint some the other day tho, but the scanner didnt want to connect when I tried scanning. Well, I didnt even have time to make something for IF this week, and I wanted to cause the topic was cool. Well, so I'm posting something old instead. This is the last page of a childrens book I did as a school assignement one and a half years ago. We had to create fantasy animals, use acrylics, and write a story about a journey. I created a fishduck and a duckrabbit, simple enough. My mom is a children school teacher, and she printed the book and read it for the class, they loved it. :) Maybe I'll try publishing it one day, reillustrated.

Illustration Friday - Quiet

Ok ok. I know, - lame attempt on the subject.
But a stressfull week and this is what you get.
I'm trying to get hang on illustrator, I wanna be a pro right now! :P
I wanna know the secrets.
As for the topic. Yeah, Baby's put in a corner. Now, be quiet.
