Equals rush-cleaning, rush-shopping, rush-finishing everything! Mymymy. :) And rush-dieting to be able to fit all the lovelyjobbely food we're up for this Christmas. I love my food-loving family. ♥

Happy 21st!

First: it's my sisters birthday! Happy happy birthday! Fun story: she was quite upset with mum when she was a kid cause of her birthday being so close up to Christmas. Aaaand when did she give birth to her own second child? Christmas Eve itself. ;) Anyway, love you sis! Love your creativity and your big, warm heart for everyone. :)

Second: It's itty itty bitty Christmas! :U Time flies.

Third: Guess who I saw today! :U Yes, Lisa - but that's not it. Yes, Dennis - but he's not it either. I saw Mr. Sun! I almost forgot he's actually out there during daytime. :] T'was nice seein' you, mista sun.

And people: Stress: down. Breathe: out. Be: happy. Smile: cause it's almost Christmas and it comes just as quicly this year as eeevery other year. ;)

Day 20 & Why do you celebrate?

I've noticed there are a lot of discussions about why people celebrate Christmas. Some childrens schools call it "The Light Party". Really...?? Tell me, is there more than one reason why Christmas is Christmas? It is celebrated because Jesus Christ was born, no other reason. And we celebrate all the good things he brought into this world. If you don't want to celebrate Christmas for what it is, then don't celebrate!

I celebrate and I believe with all my heart. :)

19th was a didley dodley day.

What the post-it says.

Ok, let me fill in cause I didn't have room ro draw it all on one post-it. I love Sundays. :) I slept in, I drank coffee in the stool by the fireplace with my flatties and waited for the room to get warm enough to work in. I then sat down to draw. I was supposed to draw some of it the day before, but let me tell you a full day working at the stable kinda leaves you in a tiny bit of need for some rest and mommy-love @home-home.

Anyways - Sunday was gonna be my working day. I drew and drew for this project I needed to finish and I knew I had some drawings at the computer at work I needed to get before 3:30 PM and at 3:15 I dressed up ready to go and suddenly remembered my keys and how they at that moment did not rest in my pocket, but at the table in the barn in Sande. BURN! I had to wait for someone to take them halfway to me and meet them there, and then to the office I go and then to meet the media-geek-aka-mr. veierland and explain what to do with the drawings. Then run out to the car, fall in the snow, get wet, drive to another meeting half an hour late and do my best there, skip out the door around 9pm-ish, drive to my coffee-date with The Østgårds, my brother and cousin and that totally made my day. :)

18th was the start of a snowy weekend

I was snowed in all weekend! And so I couldn't blog. Almost true! It did snow a lot though!
And I had my weekend with the horsis, shoveling poop and feeding hay. My favorite part: walking the horses to their paddocks, cause it's nice and easy as long as the horses stay sane. And no cars surprise us around the corner. And no snowy wind comes in the horse's eye. And no snow falls from the roofs. And no slippery ground make us fall. But it usually never does, so it's my fave part. :)

I love it when it snows. All December, I love it. But comes January you'll find me not the cheering kind. The winter should be longer before christmas than after, we all know that! Anyway, I love a white christmas. :) Let it snow let it snow let it snow!

15th of December

Boy does time fly by when you have to blog every day!
Yesterday was a success in the get-a-lot-of-shopping-done-category and I'm thrilled to tell you I can criss-cross 7 more off my list. Yay! Including new pants for myself. :D

You all know about the Basement Disastronomous Water Flooding of 2010 and since then we've been without a washing machine. I'm not going to tell you how much laundry I've got, but I've got a lot.

Please pray for a safe plugging of a new washing machine soonly! (I know it's not a word).
Stay positive, cause Christmas is almost here! :)

2 weeks went by so quickly!

We are two weeks into December aka 10 days left! Woah!

And I did get a lot of presents done today! Thank you, Hilde-sistah. Best person to co-shop with. :) And I even got to grab a coffee, some liquorice ice cream and a good chat with my very good friend, Lisa. :) A fine day.

13 is a lucky day for miss Lucia.

Today was great, even if it was a Monday. I drew some for a project and I ended the night at Ninas with a bunch of lovely girlies, supper and a fun quiz games. I love quizes. Especially if they are about Israel! ;) I nailed some! I did!

I need to go christmas presents shopping. I'm soo behind! I'm the only one in the whole wide world who hasn't bought anything (ok, two) ... I only buy for myself. :P

It is St. Lucias day today. I didn't see one thing that reminded me of this. No white dressed children, no singing, no candles in the hair, no candles in the hands, no long blondie locks in the front. I remember as a child - I could never be Lucia cause my hair wasn't blonde. But the TRUTH is that Lucia was actually dark haird! Hah! Should've been me. I did get to play Harald Hårfagre in a play, though. Long hair was good for something.

It was fun singing barbershop again. We sorta didn't make it sound as beautiful as we sometimes can, but it was allright. ;) We'll do better next time! ;) Ding - dong - dingdong.

My dad is famous for his fish soup. At least among my friends (should be world wide!). His fish soup is my favorite evening meal, preferably late, preferably with good friends. Sunday evening we had all that. ;) Thanks, paps!And if you are unable to read my scribbles, or can't understand english, here's the recipe from last night:

The 11th of December was a Saturday

Like I told you before, weekends put me off my daily routines ... including the calendar. :P Sorry about that, but it's the real deal. Saturday was spent sleeping in longer than I've done in ages (11:14 :U), digesting the duck I ate on friday night (yu-um!), having a what-to-wear-break down while trying to find and outfit (autfait) for the christmas feast, and then spending the evening at the Christmas Feast with the youth in Sandefjord. Awesome night. :) And my drawing of the scene decoration does NOT give it any credit. ;P It was pretty. :)
And most of all - the food was de-li-ci-ous! I love turkey. And the sauce was divine. :)~

Last night was the Christmas party for the Activity Club. I love those girls! Every room was in chaos, the mess was unreal and the cleanup took a while, but the funny marzipan pigs/hearts/santas/monsters, the smiles and the laughter and the hugs and the little santa-dressed heads made it all worth it. Like it does every time. :)

Morning brain fog: I couldn't start the car, so I had to take the buss to the office. I ran for a bus and had no idea when my transferbus would arrive, so instead of jumping off the bus down the hill and walk the 20 minutes to the office, I took the bus to the bus station and stood there waiting for an hour instead. :P Smart, Mette.

Only two weeks until Christmas Eve! Quick, - hug someone!

Days are starting to go by really fast. Slowit! I need time to shop and breathe! Por favor.

Last night konfettiforms man came to my house and helped with my car. :) Superkind of him, and yup he managed to bring it back to life. Yay! I was one happy muffin driving around for an hour to warm the car up and charge the batteries again. I even filled the gas and sweet talked to it. As I left it in the driveway last night I had high hopes for this morning. I no longer needed to steal Lindas car, I could drive my own!

But no ... this morning it was again: dead. :/
So I stole Lindas car and it was all good. ;)

This smells of celebration! (car alive, car dead) and I cannot sit and wait for 100 likes on facebook forever, so I am celebrating the 9th, my 95 wonderful and sweet likers and the fact that

"it is more blessed to give than to receive".

Day 8

What to say about this day.. or rather, about yesterday.
It was 6:20 pm and I got a call from a rather stressed Ida  saying: "you guys need to go home immidiately!" My first thought: "oh my gosh, there's a fire" and I even managed to scan our living room in my head looking for sources where the fire could've started before Ida said "our basement is flooded". Ba-dum. Flooded, yay. There's -18 celsius outside and our basement is flooded.

We got ourselves home and entered the basement to see our ground floor neighbors shoveling water like heroes. 80 liter of ice cold water and all we could do was curse our washing machine and scoop it up in buckets.

After we finished and the building heater and whatever machine we needed was there to dry the place we dumped ourselves in our two chairs, brought out the chips, chocolate, cake, pepsi max (for Ida and Linda), beer (for mich) and watched the rest of the film from last night. And to finish the night off in style I jolted my full glass and flooded the living room floor with beer. :P Ta-da!

I'm thankful that I've chosen to pass all my troubles on to God and let Him deal with things, makes all unexpected things so much easier to handle, and the outcome way better than what I could've done myself. :)

7th of the best month ever. :)

I ♥ December. :) The story below: Ida was making dinner and kinda stressed and suddenly she screams: "nooooo... what did I do??" And runs to check the package she just marinaded the chicken with. "Chili topping" it said. "Haha!" I laughed. "This is why I hate cooking", she replied. Haha, too cute. :) I told her "rinse the chicken in water" and she did and we're happy to announce it worked and the food was as tasty as ever. And then Ida made a caramel brownie to make up for it all. We love her. ;) 

6 down - 18 to go!

Mondays, you gotta love them right? Completely unaware of it, monday kicks you over and rubs snow down the back of your neck. And thinks it's funny. And if the weekend was spent having fun with loads of people, it's kinda hard to cope with a cold and lonesome Monday ... unless you have lots of snack and a good attitude! Saves any blue day. ;)
And my home made calendar that my roomie Ida made me also brightens the day. Aaand songmission tonight! Yay, I almost forgot! See you there, ladies!

The fifth!

Ok, weekends are hard to keep up with. :P I'm on the road, busy, occupied, actively and attentively engaged in work or a pastime (ref. dictionary.com define: busy). Understado? Goodio.

So, fifth of December. Third and last concert of three in a row. What a gang! Amazingly talented people and I had so much fun trying to style them and powder their noses and they all looked pretty good up on the stage. :)
