Canadian Breakfast

"10 for breakfast? Really?"

The expression her face was priceless as we strolled into the café at 10 am, squinzy-eyed and ruffle-haired. Apparently, this café, named after a cigarette brand, serves the best canadian breakfast in the district.

And right they were. :) I've never had crunchy potatoes and french toast dipped in real maple for breakfast before, but now I have - and I liked it a lot. :)

Besides, ... the atmosphere!
I felt like I was put back decades! I loved it. :)

Mah boyz.

They may look alike, but they captured my heart in 4 very different ways. :)

T-boy, you smart little man! :) I know for sure that you'll be the one that remembers me, and it makes me very happy! I noticed how you are such a good big brother, keep up with that. :)

E-man - look at that face. :] Aw, you are adorable. You may have some fist in you, but that's not just all bad, hehe. I love your laughter and although you are a leopard or gorilla from time to time, you are adorable!

Gorillaboy - What can I say. Your frowny face is the sweetst (although a three year old probably doesn't like hearing he is sweet). But sorry buddy, you are! And such a big boy, riding the bike and all. I miss your wrap-arms-around-hugs! They were the best. :)

Baby buddy O - my bestest buddy! I honestly get a lump in my throat thinking about you. I miss you, buddy. Go catch some bugs for me. ;) I loooved you screaming at them, not really daring to touch and then suddenly smack your little hand at them. Haha, so brave! ;) And we know for sure you'll be great in any ball game when you grow up.

I miss all of you very much, and I really hope I'll see you again soon!
Be good to your mommy and to each other, ok? :)

Biggest hugs from Mette

Land of the Sunshine

In english, det sier seg selv. (:

The countdown says 0 days 10 hours 6 minutes 50 seconds. I remember back when it said 148 days 21 hours 45 minutes 13 ... 12 ... 11 seconds. Those where the days.

Now is THE DAY.

Well. It's the night, really. It's 1:30 am and I just finished packing. I think. My bag is not stuffed, I didn't have to push real hard, sit on it, kick it or suck out air. I just put my things in and I closed the lid. It's actually airy in there. I most certainly must have forgotten something? Maybe I'm just getting old and reasonable, packing properly. Yeah, that must be it.

I went to the store earlier today to buy some chocolate and Travelcandy. Yes, that's a real thing. Whatever you eat during traveltime you wont gain in weight. It's a golden rule and there's nothing to be said about it - i will eat it all (oh, uhm .. and share, of course).

But, back to the store. I stood by the magazine shelf, considering my choice of read for the flight (ended up with nothing. Elle - what do you give me? (tips about shaving, apparently)). Anyway, I was standing there and a lady approached me. "Scoos me, I no bring glasses, can you read for me?" I go "uhm". She continues: "this say nail polish, no?" "yes, it does. Nail polish remover," I read. "I forget glasses, ach ach. Well fank you". She moves on and I'm left behind gazing after her. Did she not wear glasses? She did wear glasses. Lady, you were were wearing glasses. Well, you were wearing frames of glasses, actually. But you forgot to put the glass in.

Weird things happen when you shop alone.

Speaking of which. Lucky Luke spent a whole lot of time alone. I am going to the land of the lonesomes. The land of dunkin' and fraps. I'll be cheering for the yankees not knowing who they are, while sipping a root beer and trying on dresses.

See you! ;)
