The Taste of Salt

A thing I never thought I'd catch myself doing - I caught myself doing this morning.
I got up at 6 am. I ate breakfast, drank coffee, dressed for work (well, I did that before the eating), and I packed my gym bag. Yes, g y m bag.
I - Mette - was off to the gym. At 6:30 am (that's in the morning).

And I loved it.

What a nice way to kick off the day. I can't believe I never tried it before!
I solemnly swear that from This Day On, I'll be working my butt off on the bike one morning every week.

I'm so totally rocking this work out thingie.\m/

SMUDI

Oh man - I love a good smoothie.
If I ever open a coffee shop - smoothie will be my main dish!

This is one of my favorites:
Vanilla yoghurt
One banana
Frozen strawberries
Whipped cream
Fresh straberries
and loads of
chopped, dark chocolate

If you skip the whipped cream, it's healthy aswell!
Much better than stuffing the face with any other kind of ice cream.

A Magic Land

A Magic Land I live in, indeed.
A lot of snow can be a bother, but goodness gracious - it is beautiful.

Elsket. :/
Lampen glødet jo like fint!

Being invited to a food feast may be just my favorite thing.
If there's food, there's me. I'm mostly there for the food anyway. ;)

Love Food is a festive thing arranged by Allkopi, and as I'm a customer of them, I got invited to this feast, and I had a plus one. I've always wanted to get an invitation with a plus one! :D It just feels so serious and my life is never serious. So we dressed up in dresses (of course! (although I skipped the high heels as I guessed I'd already be taller than half of the men in there (two thirds turned out to be correct)). But hey - being tall is fun.

We were seated with a group of chatty grown ups. I brought the EOS 40D and the one next to me was eagerly telling me all about lenses and cameras and ISO etc. He'd been a professional until the year I was born. Haha. Old man. I think we were about the youngest there, and the average must've been 38, I'm sure.

Anyway - the talking did its talking and the walking did its walking to the corners were the food was spread out. Spanish? I think yes! French? Parleuuur france, merci. Portugalian (uhm) food? TOMATO ME. Or perhaps italian would be preferred? Oui. I mean, si. I mean, load the plate please. It was food melting on tongues. Food being hot, being soft, being tasty.

And if you thought Wavy Mirrors were just for children and old people, you were wrong! They are most definitely for young adults like myself and L. Especially if one of us is wearing a mustache.

Kjempekoselig!

Solving World Problems

I took this photo summer 08. I saw the men sitting outside the train station in Drammen, and I couldn't help but take a photo. I didn't ask for permission, but I'm guessing none of them check blogs. ;P Except for the geek to the left. What a hacker!

TGT - Three Good Things

The Mountains.
I love the Mountains. I spent a day here in the romjul (thats between christmas and new years). The view takes your breath away and the starry, starry sky at night does no less.

New Years Eve.
Spent at the Best Place in The World with the Best Friends in The World!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Perfect Dinner
Chicken with cheese wrapped in bacon. Vegetables cooked in oven, carrots, sweet potatos, squash, mushroom, onion, cherry tomatos. Yummy. Eaten with GREAT FRIENDS and finished off with 4 hours of Anne of Green Gables! Aaaaaw. Love those movies!
