three illustrations for poems

At school almost 2 years ago we had an assignment to illustrate 3 poems. we were not allowed to use any digital help this time, and we had to use charcoal (and that kind). I chose to keep them as a series and I made these three. (dont even ask what the poems was about .. :P)

A childhood memory..

Yet another update. :P Gosh. I gotta stop posting so early on. Well.. I guess some of you like seeing the process of it. :)

UPDATE:
I did some changes to this after some advice from heri. I was gonna make flowers at the bottom, but I cannot do flowers well. :P So I did this instead, and I like how it turned out. (:

.. I would've liked to have.
(got the theme from Pascal).

I always dreamed about being able to fly, fly to school, fly home, fly out of my window. And whenever I dreamt about it in my sleep, I really felt like I could do it in real life.
I wish I had a memory o
f actually flying.

Wedding and drawings

My good friend and sister Tone got married in May last year. I wanted to do something special for the wedding, so me and my younger sister Hilde sat down and wrote a poem about a king and a queen who lived in a big white house and got a babydaughter which they named "Tone".
The royal family did not only have this daughter, they had all together 9 princesses and 2 princes. Yes, it was a big and happy blueblooded family.
As the princess Tone grew up she wandered off in the garden where she met a frog, the frog had to very large front teeth (like her husband had as a kid). The frog scared her so she dropped the crown as she ran back into the house.
The frog turned into a boy (after he was near some of the noseblood the princess shed as she was scared (yeah, she does that a lot. :P) blabla..) and so he went up to the castle to find the head that the crown would fit.
As he rang the bell 8 little princesses ran to the door all wanting to try the crown as is was a very handsome and smashing prince.
But none would fit. The Princess Tone was not there to try it on, she was on the coach sleeping (yeah, she does that a lot too). So the prince went in there, woke her, put the crown on, kissed her and asked her to be his beloved wife. She of course was thrilled and said yes. And so they lived happily ever after into the sunset.

The end.

This was not the original text as it is in norwegian, I just translated roughly the story of it and there you go.. Below are some of the pictures, I couldnt be bothered to post them all. I read this out loud from the stage at the wedding projecting the images on a large screen behind me. It was fun, they laughed a lot. :)

Week Challenge Day 3

I suddenly realized I'm gonna have some trouble fulfilling this challenge as I am leaving for england on friday and wont be back here before wednesday, cause I'm going to Denmark straight after on a buisness trip. Hm.. I have to sort it out, cause I wanna complete it. :P well, something new today. I did this one very quick at work today, after Pascal suggested I should do one myself, as the theme of DrawerGeeks this week is "werewolf". I just startet sketching around a little in Photoshop and this came out pretty quick. I didnt have time to do anything more with it as it was already 10 pm and my ride home from work (yeah, work!) was waiting for me.
Well. bluah.. here is Werebat anyways. I'll do a better one tomorrow!
oh.. we're out of toiletpaper again. I hate when that happens! :P

Okay, so heri challenged me to post for a week straight. I accepted, and here I am. This will be interesting. It may sound easy, but I'm guessing it's gonna be harder than expected. Here's my first day post, then. A buddha guy I did a few weeks ago. And yeah.. the background is a bit "heri". :P

Ninja Lion

Edit: update with some changes, new version.
I like challenges. I've come across a couple lately that I really like, - but they are for members only both of them, so I can't participate in it
(
Drawergeeks and BlueSky Studio).
What I CAN do on the other hand, - is participate on my own. :) It's for motivation and inspiration, - and they have great topics, so why not!
In honour of BlueSky Studio an their fantastic crew, I give you: Mr. Ninja Lion (yeah, topic is ninja).
Ok, so I got some feedback about the lions tail looking like its penis. :P I changed that. And I changed the position on his right leg, so the legs are more in a pose. I also went for a darker background - still using blue. I think it's better, but I like the light background too. I also tried bluring the background. Geeh... I'm putting out too many options here, arent I. This is just messy. Sorry, everyone. And thanks for looking. :)
