It really is.
I got this idea when i was doing something for a challenge with the topic "Heat".
It was my sisters favourite joke as a kid and she told it to everyone.
If that's not a cute mental picture, ..then I dont know. :D

3rd portrait

Yup, - I'm still doing it. Did this one last night. Trying to consentrate more on light and shadow and such. I definitaly learn from each one I do so I can't wait to do the next one! :)

A little quick muffin for this weeks IF: Gravity.
How often I wish there was none! :)

Second portrait

I want to practise this watercolor thing, - and I want to practise portraits.
I did another last night, - pushing myself a little more. (:

Edit to the previous portrait.

Edit: added another version of the digital lines, - softer and less lines, and also removed parts of it.

After a few tips and crits at the DrawingBoard I did a few changes to the portrait in Photoshop.
I changed the bride of the nose, gave it a more curve and smaller nose. I added some white to the eyeball and gave the neck a more curve. I also tilted the head backwards.


Tooninator suggestions I'd add some lines to it digitally and so I tried that aswell. I like how that turned out. :)

Watercolors

I've been trying out a few different techniques lately and I enjoy it very much.
Last night I spent the evening listening to Boards of Canada (best draw/paint music) and painting some watercolors.
For example - I made my very first painted portrait!

this morning i decided to do a bouncing ball tryout.

BOUNCE BALL, BOUNCE

That took me about 10 minutes or so, - just really quick. :) Taught me to use the onion skin.

And i wanted to do something more with it, so I made this a little later from the same file. Adding head and feet in a new layer, and then adding the cape in 3 more layers (depending on it being in the back, middle or front).

GO SUPAHBPIGGY!

and by the way.. :)
I'm having SO MUCH fun doing this.

FLASH

Okay guys, - I have discovered it. And I LOVE it. FLASH.
I've opened the program a few times, but I never really got around to check it out any further. I did the "move blue ball across pink screen"-test, but nothing more. So two nights ago I sat down, opened the Help-book and read about frame-by-frame-animation. :)
And so I started on a simple one,- just moving around eyes an mouth. I did about 30 frames. the next morning I came to work early and I did another 140 frames, adding a little more story to it. It's very simple but SO MUCH fun doing! :D I will surely dig in to this program now.

I also tried out drawing in Flash and I gotta say I enjoyed it very much. I really lik this medium. :) I did this one for Valentines Day yesterday. Click for full view.

Blue

Dancing. Fun drawing them,- the poses are beautiful. :)
I also had fun trying this technique - blue marker first and black thick pen on top. I love my wacom, but I gotta say doing the real stuff gives me a slight more kick! :D

So, this hawaiian dude called Piotr lives on... well, Hawaii, and he doesnt surf. He draws instead. How can they draw on Hawaii when they can surf! :O
